Three Solid Colors?

All stamps by Hero Arts - background: H2141, flower: CL374, sentiment: LL154

I belong to a stamp club that meets monthly. We tend to have a theme for a card each month that we bring in and share. This month it was using three solid colors and here's my take on it (Is white considered a color by most?). I stamped the background image using an ink slightly lighter than the navy paper for a tone on tone effect. I stamped the flower on yellow patterned paper with navy ink and cut each one out. These are adhered with pop dots to raise them up. The center of each flower was colored white and then covered with white glitter (not showing up at all in any photo I took). I finished it off with the sentiment in white ink. TFL! ~lisa

Mother's Day card

Hero Arts CG115; Martha Stewart border punch

Here's a card I made for Mother's Day. I used three different patterned papers plus two solids to paper piece this card. Using the Hero Arts Thank You stamp, I stamped on one of the patterned papers and then cut out the center, leaving space to adhere the printed Mother's Day sentiment. I cut and layered multiple colored flowers and finished the centers off with glass beads. The reddish berries, green stems, and leaves were also cut out. Everything was adhered to the background paper and then I added a border punch framed with a green patterned paper. Lots of cutting ;-) Happy Mother's Day and TFL!

I've been published!

So I thought I would start a blog ;-) I decided to send Stampington and Company a few cards and they choose these for their Take Ten Spring 2010 issue. I made both of these cards with punches and some glass beads. I'll do my best at updating my new blog weekly so hopefully you can check it out often. TFL! ~lisa
